The Observatory Cave at Le Jardin Exotique, Monaco, 5 July 2013. The limestone rock, hollowed out by water high in carbon dioxide, is dotted with caverns full of stalactites, stalagmites and other formations. On the guided tour, visitors are invited to tap the stalactites: each has a musical ring of a different tone, depending on its length.
